Upon arrival, kindergarten students meet with Commander Boehmer for a pre-launch briefing; which introduces them to the space shuttle components and shuttle launch sequence. Students then board the BLAKE shuttle for mock launch into space and then onto the moon. Once on the moon, teachers and parents dress in EVA suits and plant a flag on the moon's surface.

Kindergartners then travel through an inflatable astro-tot playground before entering the space station for some class time.

In the space station classroom, the kindergarten students "spend time" with an astronaut (via video) learning about weightlessness and living in space. The children then have an opportunity to spend time on an age appropriate computer program at the more than 15 computer stations before they return to earth.

This program is meant as an introduction to living and working in space.
