Student's Responsibilty:

Regular home practice routine. Weekly goal: 120 minutes.

Maintain a weekly practice chart by recording minutes practiced.

Come prepared for weekly 30-minute, in-school lesson (instrument, book and signed practice chart).

Make up class work missed during weekly half hour lesson.
Parent's Role:

Obtain instrument in good playing condition prior to first lesson.

Bring all pre-owned or privately purchased instruments to school prior to the first lesson for teacher approval.

Encourage and promote regular home practice.

Check and initial student’s practice chart once-per-week.

Encourage child to organize music lesson materials the evening prior to their lesson.
-
Be involved. On occasion inquire about your child’s lesson and listen to their progress as they grow as players.

Attend school, community and other performances to encourage your child's musical interest.
