ADVANCED PLACEMENT PROGRAM

   

         The Advanced Placement Program (AP) administered through the College Board offers students an opportunity to take college-level courses and exams while still in high school.  Students successfully completing advanced placement courses and AP testing may earn credit and /or advanced standing in college.  Parkland High School offers the following Advanced Placement courses:

         The Advanced Placement Bulletin for Students and Parents is available in February to all students registered for AP classes at Parkland High School.  Students may register for Advanced Placement tests in the High School Counseling Office at designated times during the month of March.  Test fees are determined on a yearly basis, based upon the College Board fees.  Partial refunds are available if a student chooses not to take the AP test after the College Board has processed the order.
