Welcome

The Parkland School district, under the approval of the Board of School Directors, offers an exciting opportunity for Parkland students to become involved in service to the community. In this voluntary program, interested students are linked with approved volunteer sites for the opportumity to experience the many benefits of volunteerism.
The school community service program exists to promote volunteerism and provide school transcript recognition when carried out in accordance with established guidelines.  Because this program is designed to enhance an awareness of assisting others, evidence of the completion of the activities will be required.  Routine meetings of scouts, churches or service clubs do not fit the guidelines for this volunteer program.  Working in service to others, working with children and assisting at hospitals, soup kitchens, food banks or carrying out public service projects are eligible.
