Parkland High school

Student Support team

Many students are experiencing barriers to school success because of drugs/alcohol or mental health problems that not only interfere with their educational performance, but their physical, social and emotional development as well.  The function of this team is to gather and collate information.  The information includes the student’s academic performance and potential, classroom behaviors, attendance records, school policy violations, and other objective or significant data from administrators, guidance counselors, the nurse and teachers.  The data collected remains confidential within the team.

The Parkland High School’s Student Support Team is an intervention program designed to identify and refer students to appropriate resources in the school or the community.

For further information contact a member of the Student Support Team (SST)  or Mrs. Harakal at (610)351-5600  Ext. 72108 or harakalc@parklandsd.org.  Students may also stop by the SST Room located in B108.

Referral forms may be downloaded here: SST Referral Form.doc.  You can type directly on the referral form, though the space is limited to the information needed. Simply fill out the downloadable form, print, and return it to B108, an SST member, or to Ms. Harakal.  You may also send the form to Ms. Harakal as an email attachment.
